Innovative Screen Print Technology: SBR Technology*

Innovation
The presented innovation facilitates printing, using a screen printing process, and allows the use of a screen printing cylinder on offset printing machines for the first time. It can be easily subsequently adapted to existing machines or systems as a 2-in-1 system.

With the rotary screen printing machine, high-build structures can be printed with up to 8,800 prints per hour.

Based on a rotary cylinder with a mounted metallic screen printing plate, the patented doctor blade controller and dye feeder results in complete coverage, as well as partial and time- and menu-controlled ink release. The system works with a metallic woven or galvanic fixed screen printing plate with an estimated service life of approximately 150,000 prints and with a design that facilitates the easiest possible installation and removal as well as fast printing plate changes and short set-up times. The printing head is designed as a closed system and fulfils the highest level of safety when working with critical printing and coating materials. The presented system fulfils the requirements of the Hazardous Materials Act (AGW).

The field of application of this patented printing technology is in the graphical and various industrial sectors with regard to surface and coating methods.

With the combination of two printing methods or the classical screen printing method, it is possible to print plastics, paperboard containers and paper with special inks or substrates.
