MicroJet-Technology*

The MicroJet-Technology non-contact dispenser permits highly precise droplet dispensing and is, at the same time, suitable for a wide range of media. It permits the generation of droplets in a volume range between 100 picolitres and one nanolitre. By means of multiple metering, larger volumes can be achieved up to the microlitre range within a few seconds.



Unique features of this technology are:

• Media independent performance in a wide temperature range and for various liquids
• Excellent performance also with particle laden solutions containing beads, pigment particles or
• even living cells
• Viscosities up to 1000 mPas can be dispensed
• All liquid contaminated parts like the so called "dosage chip" and the integrated reservoir are disposable and can be easily and inexpensively replaced

• Liquid handling for laboratory automation
• Microarray spotting
• Dispensing of cells
• Reagent dispensing in point-of-care diagnostics
• Dispensing of solder and hot melts
• Dispensing of adhesives

This innovation is one of the patent portfolios that was chosen for a patent value fund* and now has been further developed and subsequently commercialized as part of a processing strategy by IPB.
