High-capacity thermal conductors*
The patented invention facilitates highly efficient heat transfer for selective cooling or heating of fluids. Miniature turbulences are generated by the patented design, which alter the temperature distribution within the fluids. With this thermal conductor, the temperatures of the media can be quickly and carefully changed, which increases the range of applications. For example, even sensitive chemicals can thus be adjusted to their optimum process temperature.This device is characterized by the following advantages, which all contribute towards reducing the operating costs:
- Extremely compact design
- Low pressure loss
- Continuous operating temperature from -80 to +500°C
- Continuous operation up to 500 bar

The simple and compact design leads to low production costs whilst the high efficiency additionally lowers the operating costs. The reduced space requirement also increases the flexibility when installing this thermal conductor. Through the adjustable inner contour in conjunction with the sandwich design concept, the A/V ratio (m²/m³) can be considerably varied.
This innovation is one of the patent portfolios that was chosen for a patent value fund* and now has been further developed and subsequently commercialized as part of a processing strategy by IPB.
