In comparison to classic financing based on material assets as machines and real estates in most cases similar conditions can be offered. Since 2001 IPB consequently built up its position as leading specialist in terms of patent- and innovation-valuator. The company was founded as a spin off of Knowledge One Fonds AG (K1F) which identified knowledge as the most valuable “production-tool”. In cooperation with a constantly growing network of specialists IPB developed a valuation-method for patents. Its correctness for mathematics and content was certified by KPMG in February 2004.
